The most dramatic campaign in history is almost over, and we hope everyone casts a vote. SNL helped get us through the season with a few laughs.

As the country picks it’s next president, the sports world is trying to figure out who’s on top. No debating the Cubs are the toast of the town in baseball, but football and hockey still have a way to go to determine their champs.

Major League Baseball (MLB)

The Chicago Cubs broke a 108-year World Series drought when they beat the Cleveland Indians last week in an epic seven-game series. In a related dramatic feat, five million Cubs fans celebrated the victory at Grant Park on Friday making it the 7th largest gathering in human history.

A bet is a bet…Friends, former teammates and three-time NBA champions LeBron James (from Akron) and Dwyane Wade (from Chicago) wagered on whose home team would win the World Series. Thanks to Chicago’s victory, LeBron will don a Cubs uniform in the next few weeks.

National Football League (NFL)

Some may say the NFL is the “No Fun League.” (Just ask Seattle Seahawks’ Richard Sherman). Not in Pittsburgh – at least this week. The Steelers are having a blast in the locker room with the Mannequin Challenge. What is it? A bunch of big guys standing still in a fixed pose. Cooler than it sounds.

Unfortunately, Pittsburgh’s players may have been frozen too long as they laid an egg in a 21-14 loss to the division rival Baltimore Ravens.

Sunday night brought the week’s marquee matchup when the Oakland Raiders dropped the Denver Broncos 30-20 to take over first place in the ultra-competitive AFC West. Punter Marquette King captured the Raiders sentiment with his pony celebration.

Oakland fans should enjoy the excitement while its lasts. After an unsuccessful attempt to move back to LA (the franchise’s home from 1982-1994), the Raiders are now rumored to be relocating to Las Vegas, home of What happens here, stays here #WHHSH.

Also in the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs (6-2) held on to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 19-14 despite star tight end Travis Kelce getting ejected after losing it on a referee. Let’s hope this doesn’t cost him with the ladies on his dating reality show.

The Dallas Cowboys are on a roll. They blew out the Cleveland Browns, the league’s only winless team at 0-9, and tied the New England Patriots for the league’s best record (7-1).

College Football

Electioneering…The four-team College Football playoff will be determined by a selection committee is December. That doesn’t stop teams from jockeying for a top-four position in early November.

Freshman 15? #1 Alabama beat #13 LSU 10-0 in a defensive slugfest Saturday. Alabama’s freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts is looking to lead the team to a perfect 15-0 record and back-to-back National Championships.

#2 Clemson (won 54-0) and #3 Michigan (won 59-3) rolled and will remain in the top four.

Got some tissues? Tears were flowing in College Station as #4 Texas A&M lost to unranked Mississippi State 35-28, effectively eliminating A&M from title contention.

#5 Washington took advantage of their opportunity to move into the top-four and pounded Cal 66-27. Sophomore QB Jake Browning (a distant Heisman candidate) played up to his reputation with 6 TDs.

Hey, what about us? #6 Ohio State demolished #10 Nebraska 62-3 and have their annual date with #3 Michigan November 26 circled on their calendar.

#7 Louisville dominated Boston College 52-7 and Heisman Trophy frontrunner Lamar Jackson accounted for a ridiculous seven touchdowns, bringing his season total to 45 (63 is the single season record). It would take a “rigged” election to stop this deserving sophomore from taking home the Heisman.

National Basketball Association (NBA)

The defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers are the only undefeated team in the league, and are off to their best start in 30 years. Not even a traffic jam caused by VP Joe Biden’s motorcade could stop Cavs players from reaching the arena Saturday night. They ran an audible when they hopped off the team bus and Ubered it instead.

Things got political courtside as Dallas Mavericks owner, “Shark Tank” judge and billionaire Mark Cuban revoked the press credentials of two ESPN reporters for not giving his team enough love. Maybe at 1-5, the Mavs are not that appealing.

Vote for me…again. Two-time MVP Steph Curry made an NBA record 13 three point shots Monday night as his Golden State Warriors beat the New Orleans Pelicans 116-106.

College Basketball

On Friday, college basketball fans can take in Veteran’s Day by catching the Armed Forces Classic on the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The great matchups are:

10 Arizona vs. #12 Michigan State

11 Indiana vs. # 3 Kansas
