Chance the Rapper, who wants to become the Mariah Carey of Thanksgiving, reminded us that It’s Thanksgiving Time, while hosting SNL Saturday.
Let TINK Sports be the first to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!
TINK Sports Big-3
Here are three things you need to know:
1) The Philadelphia Eagles continue to impress as the NFL’s top team. Look for the NFL to dominate the tube Thanksgiving Day
2) College football has several big rivalry games to watch Saturday
3) The Boston Celtics are the talk of the NBA with the league’s best record and a 16-game winning streak
National Football League (NFL)
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, the NFL season is entering its home stretch.

The class of the NFL continues to be the Philadelphia Eagles who pounded the Dallas Cowboys 37-9 Sunday night and have the league’s best record at 9-1. The Cowboys (once known as America’s Team) are struggling at 5-5 with their playoff chances fading fast.
Plenty thankful…While panic is setting in for fans of some teams, taps are flowing for others. The following squads are all 8-2, in first place in their divisions, and nearly a sure thing to make the playoffs, giving fans a reason to rejoice.
AFC
- New England Patriots
- Pittsburgh Steelers
NFC
- Minnesota Vikings
- New Orleans Saints
The weekend’s top game was a matchup of surprising division leaders. The Minnesota Vikings handled the Los Angeles Rams and in the process punched their ticket to the 8-2 club.
Smiling in A-Town. Week 11 ended Monday night with the Atlanta Falcons (who lost in last year’s Super Bowl) dropping the Seattle Seahawks, greatly improving the Falcons’ playoff prospects after a slow start.
Need to know when to serve the turkey and stuffing? Here is the Thanksgiving Day NFL schedule:
12:30pm Minnesota Vikings @ Detroit Lions
4:30pm Los Angeles Chargers @ Dallas Cowboys
8:30pm New York Giants @ Washington Redskins
College Football
There were no major surprises in college football last week as all the top teams won. Alabama remains the top dog but may face its top test this weekend.

The AP Top-5 remains:
1) Alabama
2) Miami
3) Oklahoma
4) Clemson
5) Wisconsin
Have plans Saturday? Your college-football-loving friends probably do. Three of the sport’s biggest rivalries will continue this weekend. Two of those matchups are so big they have their own name…
“The Iron Bowl” – #1 Alabama @ #6 Auburn
“The Game” – #9 Ohio State @ #24 Michigan
#8 Notre Dame @ #22 Stanford
College Basketball
Thanks but no thanks? Last week three UCLA basketball players in China with their team for a tournament were placed on house arrest after shoplifting at high-end stores in Hangzhou. Following several uneasy days they were allowed to leave the country.

Who gets the assist for helping the three young men? President Trump took the credit but LaVarr Ball, father of one of the detained players and Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball, disagreed. Trump fired back “I should have left them in jail!” #Ouch
ON the court the season just started and the teams to watch right now are: Duke, Arizona and Kansas, Michigan State and Villanova.
National Basketball Association (NBA)
The Boston Celtics have the NBA’s best record (16-2) and are the proud winners of 16 games in a row. This is particularly impressive considering they lost all-star forward Gordon Hayward, whom they acquired over the summer, in the team’s first game.
Offensive? In the Western Conference the Golden State Warriors (the defending champs) and the Houston Rockets are first and second in the NBA in scoring and are tied for the conference lead at 13-4. Houston welcomed back All-Star guard Chris Paul, who should make the team even better, and has a knack for TV commercials.
