Royal was the name of the game Saturday when Prince Harry (a Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz look-alike) tied the knot with Meghan Markle. In the sports world there were several athletes, including a horse, showing off their majestic spirit too.

Let’s take a look…

TINK Sports Big-3

Here are three things you need to know:

1) The NBA’s Golden State Warriors are pulling away from the Houston Rockets and seeking a fourth-straight NBA Finals

2) Las Vegas is the place to be – even for hockey – as their NHL team advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals

3) The Champions League Final, European Soccer’s marquee matchup, between Real Madrid and Liverpool takes place Saturday

National Basketball Association (NBA)

The NBA’s two best teams, the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors are battling in what should be a close Western Conference Finals. The Warriors lead 2-1, which is not surprising, but the fact that all the games thus far have been blowouts is head scratching.

My house! Golden State’s Steph Curry, one of the NBA’s crown princes, scored 35 points in a 41-point demolition of the Rockets Sunday night. Curry, a two-time MVP, reminded everyone that Oracle arena in Oakland was his “f***ing house:”

While Curry’s fans may have gotten energized, his mother was having no part of it. Curry told ESPN about his mom’s message: “She was telling me how I need to wash my mouth out, saying to wash it out with soap.” #MomKnowsBest

In the Eastern Conference Finals, the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers are tied 2-2 after the Cavs protected home court winning Saturday and Monday. As has become customary, LeBron “King” James put on a spectacle Monday, scoring 44 points, to lead his Cavs to a series-tying victory.

National Hockey League (NHL)

The fairy tale continues for the Las Vegas Golden Knights. The expansion team playing its inaugural season continues to amaze, finishing off the Winnipeg Jets Sunday to reach the Stanley Cup Finals.

Review Journal

Even Vegas bookmakers are shocked and stand to lose big if the Knights win the Stanley Cup. The Knights had the lowest chance of winning the Cup entering the season at 500-1. #ADollarAndADream

The Knights’ opponent will be the Washington Capitals – Tampa Bay Lightning winner. Their series is tied 3-3 after the Caps won Monday night. The deciding game 7 takes place in Tampa Wednesday night.

Soccer

Kickin’ it in Kiev…That’s what European Soccer fans wish they were doing this Saturday as Real Madrid takes on Liverpool in the Champions League Final.

Two of the games biggest stars, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo (from Portugal) and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah (from Egypt), are vying to be crowned king of European club soccer.

Goal.com

The match kicks off at 2:45pm ET Saturday. If your soccer friends mysteriously disappear for a few hours look for them at the nearest TV or watering hole.

 Horse Racing

Two-thirds of the way there…After taking the Kentucky Derby three weeks ago, Justify won a thrilling Preakness Stakes Saturday to capture the second leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown. The final race for immortality (and serious stud fees) will take place June 9th at Belmont in New York.

Washington Times

How rare is a Triple Crown? Very. There has been only one horse, American Pharaoh in 2015, to accomplish the feat in the last 40 years. It is noteworthy that Bob Baffert (pictured above with Justify, his current horse) trained both colts.
