It’s all about the playoffs as the NHL and NBA post-seasons have begun. Baseball is chugging along with some unexpected leaders atop their divisions.

Let’s take a look at what’s happening in the sports world…

Here are three things you need to know:

1) The NBA playoffs have just begun and Houston Rockets star James Harden put up another unbelievable performance

2) The talk of the NHL playoffs is the Las Vegas Golden Knights who are making waves in their first year in existence

3) Despite taking a back seat to hockey and basketball for a few months, baseball is still creating stories

National Basketball Association (NBA)

Playoff time brings out the biggest stars and Sunday was no exception when MVP front-runner James Harden and his fabulous beard scored 44 points to lead the top-seeded Houston Rockets to victory and a 1-0 series lead over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The other Western Conference powerhouse, the Golden State Warriors, held of an undermanned San Antonio Spurs team playing with out their best player Kahwi Leonard (because of injury and drama) Monday to take a 2-0 series lead.

Worried yet? Many pundits penciled LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers into the NBA Finals for the fourth straight year. The only problem is that nobody told Victor Oladipo and the Indiana Pacers who dominated the Cavs Sunday to take a 1-0 series lead.

National Hockey League (NHL)

Move over Celine Dion, Elton John and Cirque Du Soleil. The Las Vegas Golden Knights, in their first year of existence, have become the talk of the Sin City. The Knights lead their series 3-0 with the Los Angeles Kings and look poised to make a playoff run.

Taking care of business. NHL regular season leaders Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins in the East, and Nashville Predators and Winnipeg Jets in the West all lead their series 2-1.

Major League Baseball (MLB)

Boys of Summer? Not really. The Kansas City Royals and Toronto Blue Jays game was postponed due to…flying ice. (In case you were wondering, yes they do play professional baseball in Canada). So far there have been 24 games postponed due to inclement weather thus far this season (in only three weeks).
