Adele certainly is. She was the star of stars at the Grammys Sunday taking home five trophies. Adele pulled a Mean Girls Cady Heron and shared the love with fellow megastar Beyonce.

Rapper and huge NBA fan, Common, was looking for a win of his own freestyling on Jimmy Fallon.

While the music industry showered George Michael, Prince and Phife Dawg with respect, the NBA showed very little to some of its own.

National Basketball Association (NBA)

The love was nowhere to be found Saturday as Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant, who played the previous eight years for the Oklahoma City Thunder, was greeted with “boooos” in his return. Like Twenty One Pilots at the Grammys, Durant left bestie Russell Westbrook and the rest of the Thunder with their pants down as he ditched OKC in favor of the Warriors in the offseason.

Chocolate or red velvet? Westbrook called Durant a cupcake (read: soft) after Durant’s exit, and the fans let KD know they still hold a grudge.

Westbrook’s put up an impressive 47 points and 11 rebounds but Durant had the last laugh scoring 34 and leading the Warriors to victory. Durant’s teammates had his back and added levity to the situation by swapping their warmup jerseys for cupcake t-shirts after the game.

Speaking of not welcome…New York Knicks owner James Dolan told beloved former Knicks player Charles Oakley that he was banned from Madison Square Garden after being thrown out of the arena during a Knicks game last week. Oakley and Dolan have had a long-standing beef, and many fans sided with Oakley in the tiff.

On Sunday the saga continued when Dolan surrounded himself with former Knicks players at the nationally televised game presumably to earn brownie points with fans.

Playing cupid Monday, Michael Jordan and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver urged the two sides to kiss and makeup, and Oakley is now welcome to attend a game again some time in the future.

National Football League (NFL)

Checking “will not attend” on the RSVP card…In a long-standing tradition, the POTUS hosts winning teams at the White House. This NFL gathering won’t have full attendance, though, as several Super Bowl champion New England Patriots players are turning down the President’s invite.

The five-time champion Patriots see a bright future as they filed to trademark “Blitz for Six,” hoping to use it on hoodies and other team gear if they win a record-tying sixth Super Bowl.

Major League Baseball (MLB)

Baseball fans are heart-warmed as they look forward to opening day. The boys of summer are back as MLB pitchers and catchers reported to work this week. No need to worry about frostbite as Spring Training takes place in Florida and Arizona. The MLB regular season begins April 2.

College Basketball

100 and counting…In Women’s college basketball, the legend grows as #1 UConn beat #6 South Carolina Monday. The 100th straight victory extends UConn’s streak of most consecutive wins in major US team sports history.

Brackets anyone? March 14th kicks off the NCAA Tournament aka March Madness. For the first time ever, the selection committee gave a sneak peak of who would be its top 16 teams if the season ended today. Brackets will become official on Selection Sunday, March 12.

The four current #1 seeds are:

#1 Villanova

#2 Kansas

#3 Baylor

#4 Gonzaga
